<DIV>Hi Todd/Utopia folks, </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> These upcoming
gigs are with the little heard from legend - Buzzy Linhart - one
of the great singer/songwriter/performers of the 60's and the 70's. He's
sounding better than ever in his first East Coast gigs in four years. It's going
to be some great gigs - so please come down. </DIV>
<DIV> By the way, Todd
co-produced one of Buzzy's albums (the black album) way back when. When Kevin
Ellman and John Seigler joined Utopia, they had to quit the Buzzy Linhart band
first. And Buzzy and I wrote "You gotta have Friends" together. </DIV>
<DIV> I organized a Buzzy Linhart
Celebration concert at the Bottom Line four years ago. Singing and performing
for/with Buzzy were Phoebe Snow, John Sebastion, John Hammond, Eric Anderson,
David Amram, Will Lee (from Letterman) and many other show biz greats. Buzzy is
a legend, even among the music industry itself. </DIV>
<DIV>Don't miss this. </DIV>

<P align=left><U><IMG height=283 src="http://www.moogymusic.com/CDs/buzzy.jpg"
width=283 align=left>Buzzy Linhart</U> is a rock legend. And during the early
70's he was the Easty Coast's hottest rock and roller, selling out at clubs and
concert halls up and down the coast. Buzzy's high energy two hour shows made him
the Bruce Springsteen of his day.</P>
<P align=left> Buzzy co-wrote "You Gotta
Have Friends" with his frequent piano player, Moogy Klingman. </P>
<P align=left> Buzzy started out as a
vibes player in Greenwich Village back at the dawn of the 60's, he played behind
Tim Hardin and Fred Neil and recorded as a vibist with Jimi Hendrix and Crosby,
Stills and Nash. He made about six albums (not including countless greatest hits
and repackages of all sorts) for various major labels in the late sixties and
early seventies including Atlantic, Mercury and Karma Sutra. Buzzy was a
singing, songwriting, guitar playing solo artist and a legendary live performer.
He even filled Carnegie Hall at the height of Buzzymania! Having his songs
covered by Bette Midler, Barry Manilow and Carly Simon, among others, his rep as
a songwriter has always been a great one. Buzzy's unique combination
of jazz, folk and rock made him an innovator and influence on many who came
after him. His singing could go from rock to blues to jazz scat in any 24 bars
of a song! His songs were covered by people like Bette Midler, Barry Manilow,
Carly Simon, and the Roche
Sisters<BR> Buzzy sightings
became legendary over the years. There would be many NYC sightings,
when Buzzy would show up at my house and music would be made and songs would be
written. Sometimes, we'd write songs and play gigs with bands. Sometimes, we'd
do radio shows.
- Buzzy's last appearance in NYC four years ago, was his
biggest - a big show at the Bottom line four years ago that was a tribute to him
with his sidekick, Moogy Klingman and an array of famous names. - Phoebe Snow,
John Hammond, John Sebastion, Eric Anderson, David Amram and Will Lee,
among others. <A title=http://www.buzzylinhart.com/
